dance weekend!

I'm now standing on the edge of the week and getting set to jump into the weekend! YAY! Tonight is our work dinner/dance and tomorrow night is our nephew's wedding reception and dance! oooweeee this is gonna be a fun couple of days. I don't have much time now to 'talk', but i will come back with pictures, hopefully and a few details.

Sometimes it does a world of good to get shined up and do something fancy, you know? It makes you feel like you're escaping the often grubby clothing of weekdays/nights, the monotony that sometimes or often anesthetizes us and its just nice to wake up and do something splendid! Oh, I hope the DJs are good!!!!! WOOOH!!!

bye for now!!!

hey Faith! nice to see you here! the dance weekend was so fabulous! the second night was so breathtaking, the hall was so classy, gigantic columns, high ceilings. The decor was wonderful, black and white. the extravagance was unbelievable (Portuguese wedding reception - food never ends. . course after course. . seafood and dessert buffet at midnight. . dancing till the wee hours. I was fascinated with the Portugese dance music. . and their dancing style. . Mostly i just love how lavish they are with everything, their affections, their celebrations, their living. Our new niece in law is SO lovely and friendly. . you feel like you've known her forever when you've only just met, her family was equally warm and welcoming. It was an amazing night. . and yes, Emma this was my shortest post!!! this 1 comment is bigger than the post!!!

Yeah, that was a great time we had Saturday night! I found out today that that soup we had with the green stuff and ham is a big Portuguese favourite, and the salt fish and seafood, which I already knew! I loved the wedding cake and ice cream, they were delicious!

Glad you had fun at Dillan's reception! I can't believe he's grown and married! Seems like yesterday him and Sarah were little snot noses in your wedding!

It is nice to dress up and get out for some good food and dancing!

yeah, Jenn. . its so hard to believe that Dylan is over 30 now! Geez, our wedding was almost 25 years ago now. . Dylan and Sarah were just little kids! They made a cute ring bearer and flower girl!!

It is nice to get dressed up and go out. The girls in my office and I were talking. . we want to have a Valentine's dinner/dance. . so i emailed the social planner at work to see if we can do this! Have you and Brad gone to any work parties yet?
