who would we be without stories?
has there ever been a time without them?
in the beginning. . .
once upon a time. . . .
act one
scene one
page one
chapter one
someone's always telling a story.
someone's always listening.
and nothing is new under the sun --
love
good
evil
revenge
greed
ruination
temptation
adversity
tragedy
loss
forgiveness
redemption
time is a portal
step through, drop in, go back, advance
you will find yourself no matter where you stop
ancient,
modern,
spoken,
written. . nothing changes
we don't change.
all this telling does not diminish our
infinite appetite for more
new ones are always joining
they need to hear
they need to tell
'the end' is a ruse
there is none.
if the story ends,
we do.

I think it's amazing that you have just summed up the Bible. The Bible is the main story in our lives and the main excitement about it is that WE are part of the story! And the coolest part is, in your musings, is that when the story ends - so does ours, and we spend eternity with Him!
cool! of course i was thinking along biblical lines *which is natural* but what really inspired this post was me thinking about all the movies i've seen and all the books i've read, how much i love stories!!!
wow that is awesome kat, really love those words, especially the last ones... if the story ends, we do too. thanks for that!
